October, 2003 Double Award underpins The Catamaran Company's market leadership in The
Catamaran Sector
In a unique double achievement The Catamaran Company recently won the 2003 North America Lagoon Dealer of The Year Award for the second straight year, while also seeing one of its top broker’s, Staley Weidman, secure the inaugural 2003 North America Lagoon Broker of the Year Award.
With general sales up 300% in the last 24 months the two awards reflect the company’s remarkable progress in continually improving sales while competitors falter. An overall 25 % increase for all Lagoon models sold in 2003 over 2002 confirms The Catamaran Company’s growing leadership in the catamaran industry. The smallest member of the Lagoon family, the Lagoon 380, was a big contributor to the company’s impressive sales figures. Lagoon has sold over 200 Lagoon 380s worldwide >since< its introduction in 1999. The Catamaran Company contributed over 15% towards these remarkable figures for this particular model. “Congratulations goes to Mr. Murray and the entire sales and support team at The Catamaran Company for receiving this prestigious sales award,” said Lagoon America in handing over the award to President, Hugh Murray, at the recent Annapolis Boat Show in Maryland, United States. The repeat award reinforces the Catamaran Company’s exceptional market standing in North America after also being awarded the Charter Company Dealer of the Year in 2001. The award also marked the end of a successful Annapolis Boat Show for the Catamaran Company who will be following up swiftly on all sales leads generated during the event.
